Start of bragster (Luke hearts Apple)

May 10th, 2008 by Luke Forsythe · No Comments

(Yes its cliche but I can’t help it. I bloody love my new work computer. It’s amazing. I’ll tell you what I don’t like, however. Crappy camera phones! I’ve had nothing but dodgy images from my new one.)
I’ve started work at bragster and I can honestly say it’s bloody great. Big things are happening. The […]

The Mother of all Typographic tattoos

January 28th, 2008 by Luke Forsythe · No Comments

Every time I look at images of other peoples typographic tattoos I think,
“Wow that font was rendered so much better than my tattoo. I hate that trendy, bearded, brooklyn tattoo ‘artist’ who thought the flick at the bottom of my Helvetica R was a serif.”
But with this one I thought, Hey, mine was done […]

I start WKside on monday!

January 9th, 2008 by Luke Forsythe · No Comments

And here is where I’m going to be working for the next 3 months!:

When I was in New York I came accross Wieden+Kennedy London’s site, never having previously thought of advertising as a serious career idea (for me). But I became addicted to the work featured on the site and the views and insights […]

Strangely it seems to have been created by Microsoft themselves. Weird.

learn how to bypasses reality with Scott King

October 5th, 2007 by Luke Forsythe · No Comments

1 of the 12 artworks comprising How I’d Sink American Vogue by Scott King.
This work is so liberating. Not just in the content but also (and more importantly for me), in showing that you don’t need to pay attention to reality passé.
Seeing Scott King’s covers of vogue magazine, it doesn’t matter whether they where printed […]

Artwork from M.I.A.’s Kala

September 19th, 2007 by Luke Forsythe · 1 Comment

It’s dirty, nasty Photoshop …which is actually quite fitting for the content. Its quite coherent as well. I’ve always liked M.I.A.s stuff as she does it all herself. She did Graphics at Saint Martians don’t you know.
Check out Kala and the first album, Arular if you haven’t already. You probably have.

Extremely literal Cadbury Guerilla Marketing

Doesn’t seem to be all that much to do with chocolate. Then again, who cares?
On a serious note, Guerrilla advertising is awesome. Rather than shoving a product in peoples faces, let them associate your company with a nugget of entertainment. Genius.

My little part of the London Design Week Site

September 2nd, 2007 by Luke Forsythe · 2 Comments

Hey check it out. London Design Week used my phone as a mini banner for their press section on the new website. Its teeny-tiny, but hey - its London Design Week, so in my book its a good thing. It was nice to find anyway…

Dude. I’m annoyed I am at myself for not keeping this up as I said I would at the beginning. Its all been kicking off though. I’ve been perfecting my portfolio, sorting out a move into London and working on branding “The Sidedoor”, a new event to hit the streets of Eastbourne very soon. Posters […]

Eat Chocolate! Think Thin!

June 17th, 2007 by Luke Forsythe · 1 Comment

Presenting the think thin chocolate bar.
I can’t decide. This is either the stupidest or the most amazing branding tactic I’ve ever seen. After all; Convince a heroin-addict that his problems will be solved by heroin and you’ll have a customer for life. But surely people aren’t that stupid?
On the back is the dietary advice; […]
