1 of the 12 artworks comprising How I’d Sink American Vogue by Scott King.
This work is so liberating. Not just in the content but also (and more importantly for me), in showing that you don’t need to pay attention to reality passé.
Seeing Scott King’s covers of vogue magazine, it doesn’t matter whether they where printed by the magazine or not. They may as well have been. And thats the point. That is why his message is made so powerful.
He has literally said to himself, “I’m going to design the cover of vogue, today”. And nobody has right to say “…but not really, Scott.”
